• Eat your Frogs for Breakfast!

Eeewww YUCK! Em…. But seriously guys – eat your frogs for breakfast! Mark Twain famously said that if the first thing you do in the morning is eat a live frog, you can go through the rest of the day knowing the worst is behind you. Your frog is your worst task, and you should do it first thing in the morning. This clears your mind of the heaviness and frees you up for creation, high vibes and happy feelings. It also leaves us feeling great! I have been using this technique by writing out my FROG before I leave the office at night so there is no procrastination in…

  • I haven’t been a very nice person

I have not been a very nice person over the last few weeks. I have been stressed at work and at home we are in the middle of a full house renovation – I have NO kitchen. I have been under the weather and its getting colder and darker as we come into winter. BUT – THIS IS NOT AN EXCUSE! I know how to make myself feel better (read my previous blog posts here, here, and here). But I CHOSE to feel stuck and grumpy and angry and frustrated and NEGATIVE! However, I was still doing the work, I was still showing up to yoga, to reading my books,…

  • Are you a YES person?

Are you someone who always fills her time? Let me guess …you’re the go-to gal in your family, friendship group, and at work – you’re the reliable one people trust to look after their kids, prepare the homemade meal, the shoulder to cry on, the one who can seemingly pull the impossible off at 4.30pm on a Friday afternoon. If you want something done – give it to a busy person.  Right?  All these people ask you to do the “really important” tasks that “no one else” can manage – so of course you have to say yes. Right? thats what you SHOULD do. Right? But after saying yes do…

  • International Women’s Day

Yesterday was International Women’s Day for us here in New Zealand. And it got me thinking about a few things: We are enough We are stronger together We teach others how to treat us We are enough From my experience, a lot of us girls – age, race, career does not discriminate here – walk around every single day with a huge weight on top of our head! And that weight is a belief from deep down inside that we are not enough. That somehow we are less than, less deserving, less worthy, less intelligent, less beautiful than others around us. We deny others the joy of giving us compliments,…

  • Love is my Religion

Why is something that we all desire so hard to attain? And why do we not give it freely to the most important person on the planet – ourselves? WORTHINESS Most of us do not feel worthy of our own love, let alone someone else’s. We deny ourselves of love because we do not feel worthy of it. We self-sabotage over and over again because deep down we do not feel worthy of our own love; let alone anyone else’s. Just take a moment and think about how you are living your life. Ask yourself…   How often do I put the happiness of others before my own?   How…
